Jingzhang High Speed Rail 京張高鐵「智能動車」

The Beijing-Zhangjiakou intercity railway, also known as the Jingzhang intercity railway, Jingzhang high speed railway, Jingzhang section of Beijing-Baotou PDL, is a high-speed railway between Beijing and Zhangjiakou in Hebei province.

This route has a length of 173.947 kilometers of double tracked high speed rail, with a maximum speed of 350 km/h (220 mph) between Badaling West block post and Donghuayuan North. However within urban Beijing in the south of Changping station, the maximum speed is restricted to 80, 160 and 200 km/h (50, 99 and 124 mph). The rest of the line has a maximum speed of 250 km/h (160 mph). The line was opened on 30 December 2019, and is the world's first automated high speed railway, shortening the traveling time from Beijing to Zhangjiakou from 3 hours 7 minutes to 47 minutes.

The main line has 10 stations. The Yanqing branch has another station, Yanqing railway station. The Chongli Branch has two more stations, Zhaochuan South (reserved station) and Taizicheng. The railway was originally scheduled to start construction in 2009, however due to the Ministry of Railways adjusting the high-speed rail construction program this was postponed until 2014. 110年前,西方人嘲笑中國無法設計建造自己的鐵路,但被譽為「中國鐵路之父」的詹天佑等一群工程師憑著自己的力量克服了種種困難建成,詹天佑等在翻越陡峭的八達嶺時用了「人」型的鐵道設計;110年後,在同樣的路段,京張高鐵通車,但不再需要人字型的路段,而是靠著強大的動力直上直下陡坡,且車行誤差以公分計。
