China’s Chang’e 5 spacecraft lifted off from the moon on December 3, 2020, after a 19-hour operation to collect lunar rock samples. The Chinese lander touched down the moon on December 1. Running on a solar battery, it had only two days to finish its mission. The prrobe was set to retrieve 2kg (4.4 pounds) of lunar samples. SCMP
