國際熱核聚變實驗堆 (ITER),全球最大的人造太陽計劃,1985年啟動,至今沒有完工。項目太龐大,工期一拖再拖。參與的國家多,各有利益訴求,相互扯皮。幸虧有中國的支持,工程才能持續推進。但我們不會把雞蛋放在同一個籃子裡。 2017年,中國決定建造自己的聚變工程試驗堆 (CFETR)。實現可控核聚變,還要等50年嗎?

International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) is an international nuclear fusion research and engineering megaproject, which will be the world's largest magnetic confinement plasma physics experiment. 

 A Tokamak (託卡馬克) is a device which uses a powerful magnetic field to confine hot plasma in the shape of a torus. The tokamak is one of several types of magnetic confinement devices being developed to produce controlled thermonuclear fusion power. As of 2020, it is the leading candidate for a practical fusion reactor.

The China Fusion Engineering Test Reactor (CFETR) is a proposed tokamak nuclear fusion reactor in China. CFETR construction is planned for the 2020s as a demonstration of the feasibility of large scale fusion power generation. The project would include two phases of operation.
